Trade/Media will be allowed FREE entrance to the event; however, there are significant restrictions and limitations to this offer. Please see “Registration Information, Restrictions and Quotas” below.

Special Notice to Media: We will consider a trade of event tickets for advertising via any media source you represent. We welcome and thank you for every opportunity to receive advance press and respectfully request that you make us aware and/or copy us on any resulting press or media.  Please contact Alan Kirth at 650-678-1208.

Registration Deadlines and Restrictions:

Please note the very important registration deadlines below: 

  • Final Deadline to Register is May 31st, 2006! No advance Trade or Media registrations will be accepted after this date.
  • Trade/Media walk-ins may pay a reduced price of $45 per ticket after May 31, 2006. We reserve the right to refuse admission if you are without adequate ID qualifying you as trade or media.
Trade/Media Registration Information, Restrictions and Quotas:
  • A maximum of 1 employee per business location may register for free.
  • To purchase additional advance tickets for your staff before May 31, 2006, please send a check payable to Rotary Club of Millbrae for $20 per ticket, addressed to: Trade Registrations, A Taste of California, PO Box 23, Millbrae, CA 94030. Please include Name(s), Title(s), Business Name, Address, e-mail address, and Phone Number. The maximum number of advance Trade/Media tickets is limited to 4 additional tickets per business location.
  • Your business must be professionally involved in the wholesale or retail purchase, sale, and/or distribution of wine to qualify as wine trade and must possess a valid ABC Liquor License with either a “General” or “Wine and Beer” classification. Your business name will be checked against a current roster of ABC licensees.
  • You must be an established and/or well known media outlet/media personality or regularly publish articles on wine and identify your media outlet on the registration form to qualify as media.
  • If you have a business that falls outside the guidelines established above, we will consider your business for qualification as Trade/Media if you can satisfactorily demonstrate (in the comment section below and/or with supporting documentation) how your business will positively impact the wine sales and/or distribution and sales of our attending wineries or gourmet vendors. If we decide that your business does not qualify, we will be happy to provide you with a promotion code authorizing you to receive our “Friends and Family Early Bird Special Offer” ticket price of $45.  
  • You are required to have matching photo ID and proof of your trade status, i.e. business cards, article with by-line, etc. Photo ID and proof of trade/media status will be required upon entrance.
  • We reserve the right to refuse free or reduced price admission if you are without adequate and qualifying ID.
  • Note: Most trade/media wine events are sponsored by wine associations and/or distributors. We are a Rotary Club and do not benefit in the same manner. Our goal is to provide an appropriate source of Trade/Media visibility to our wineries and gourmet vendors, while simultaneously raising funds to support many highly deserving local/international non-profit charities, scholarships, and humanitarian projects selected by our Rotary Club’s board of directors. 100 percent of event proceeds will be used towards this purpose. We thank you very much for your support and appreciate your assistance in helping us reach our fundraising goals.
  • After receiving your registration you will receive an e-mail from us confirming our receipt. Please e-mail (tradeinfo@atasteofca.org) us with any changes in your business name or status. Changes made after May 31, 2006 must be made at the door.

he sign up deadline for early (free) trade/media registration was May 31, 2006. Trade/media are welcome to attend the event and pay a discounted door price of $45; however, you must meet the qualifications for trade and media to obtain this special price at the door. The general public door price is $75 or $60 advance. You must bring identification and qualifying documents with you verifying you are trade/media per the trade/media restrictions set below. This is a fundraising event for the Rotary Club of Millbrae. We hope that you decide to attend!
